In a paneltalk with 4 professionals in circus we will make space for the female experience.
As a community and artform we shall reflect about where we stand and discover new ways of being. Even though there are a lot of female students and performers in circus, when it comes to directors/makers they are mainly male. Like many other places, there is a disbalance. By sharing experiences and being heard, we can process, grow and empower each other. Next to that we also hope to think of ways in which we can be better and what role men can play in this movement.
We believe inequality is a shared problem and that the responsibility of fixing it, is also shared. Therefore we invite any circus professional, regardless of your gender, to join this conversation to share experiences and ideas or to create space for women by being an active listener.
