Bring your questions and leave them unanswered
Questions to the Endless begins with an invitation for the audience to shred their own question. Paper shredders and writing stations are installed at the entrance to the stage area and the rattling sound of the paper shredder accompanies the audience to their seats.
The piece takes place between a woman on the trapeze, her alter ego in the form of a loudspeaker and the audience and their own questions. A rap battle, various movement languages on the trapeze, helium balloons and a set filled with question marks result in a multi-layered performance with trapeze, language and stage design.
The question mark as a universal sign becomes a ‘pattern’ through duplication and it questions why we always want to ask and know. Questions to the Endless creates a stream of questions that opens up depths, looks into them, invites us to walk through the world with a smile and take our alter ego by the hand once again.
The performances at Korzo are supported by Pro Helvetia, swiss arts council.
