Live music is naturally linked to Indian classical dance. The famous mridangist S.V. Giridhara has, as a percussionist, accompanied many Dutch dancers in the Arangetram (official stage debut). During this concert this rhythm expert takes you along into South Indian Carnatic music together with his top ensemble Nandi Taalavadya. Classical music with rich, complex, and melodious compositions, performed on traditional instruments. For this concert, the musicians sought inspirations in the five elements.
After the interval, they accompany the beloved Dutch Bharatanatyam teacher Sitra Bonoo who dances a solo.
