Compagnie Tiuri presents the performance The Girl with no name and the dance film A Bird named Mansour during CaDance Festival 2025.
About The Girl with no name
The Girl with no name is a choreographic argument in which four strong women wander across a stage of red flowers. All four are searching for that which they have long lost: their names. The women portray a worldview that changes with the rhythm of the seasons and, with both cruelty and tenderness, imbues the audience with the last bit of humanity left.
Artistic director Jordy Dik focuses in The girl with no name not only on the dancer, but seeks the deeper truth of the human being dancing. The strength, complexity and vulnerability of the individual merge with the common desire to experience that we are human together. In doing so, Compagnie Tiuri stands for humanity and the right to exist for all. The cast of The girl with no name consists of Margriet Jacobs, Andrea Beugger (winners BNG Bank Dansprijs 2024), Sabine van Riel and Annemieke Mooij.

About A Bird named Mansour
Made in collaboration with thirteen dancers from Compagnie Tiuri (Netherlands) and Shechter II (UK), dance film A Bird named Mansour by Dutch choreographer Jordy Dik is a protest of love.
A Bird named Mansour is a poetic ode to the journey to freedom and resonates with Maya Angelou's statement, ‘The truth is, no one of us can be free until everybody is free. The film was shot at London's prestigious Somerset House in summer 2024 and was part of the Performing Arts Fonds' Fast Forward programme in the Netherlands. In London, Jordy had the chance to work with the amazing dancers of Hofesh Shechter Company and his own dancers from Compagnie Tiuri. A Bird named Mansour is the result of the first part of the inclusive and international research project A Bigger Movement.
