The tale of this absurdist circus-theatre performance unfolds in a forgotten town where power is badly distributed and taken far too seriously.

A ramshackle structure in the middle of a rocky desert; a dysfunctional ruling family, their loyal (and ridiculous) allies, and a collection of odd workers control the town.Life is unfair, rules are bent, and common sense is optional. Then, everything begins to shift when masked vigilantes appear, and the local population slowly finds the courage to push back—sometimes bravely, sometimes clumsily, often with humor. Will courage, capes, and chaos be enough to save the town?

Director Aurélia Brailowsky invites the second-year students of Codarts Circus Arts to embody and explore typical characters and stories about heroes, anti-heroes and battles between Good and Evil, drawing inspiration from life at the Mexican border.

BANDIDOS is a playful performance in which circus techniques enter 
into dialogue with character work, movement and alternative forms of expression.

Codarts and Korzo have been working together for many years through Cirque Mania to give new circus talent a stage. Students from the Codarts Circus Arts programme present personal and contemporary work in which acrobatics, theatre, dance and music come together. Cirque Mania offers audiences the chance to discover the circus makers of tomorrow, while giving students their first experience of a professional stage.
