Amba stuti, Adi talam, raga malika , choreographed by Lavanya Anant with verses from the Shri Rajarajeshwari Ashtakam.
The Rajarajeshwari Ashtakam is a divine hymn written about the goddess Sri Raja Rajeshwari. This hymn consists of eight stanzas (called an Ashtakam) and each stanza begins with the name Amba - the Divine Mother. Therefore, this ashtakam is sometimes called Ambashtakam and is also mentioned in the last stanza. The text and meaning of Rajarajeshwari Ashtakam explain the attributes of the goddess along with her protected nature. Also, much of this prayer contains the incarnated forms and divine names of the goddess Sri Rajarajeshwari. The benefits of reading this ashtakam are explained in the phalastuti section (last stanza).
