James (Major Ultra Omni) 007 has been in the Dutch ballroom scene since 2017. His greatest love is Old Way- and always serves a soft pop dip and spin. He is often behind the scenes in ballroom, helping to organize community centered events. He is also the co-organizer of PLAYGROUND, an event for and by the ballroom scene where participants can play with traditional categories.
Old Way a.k.a. "the only way" is the foundation of today's ballroom scene. It was the first and original voguing dance style and captures the essence of the ballroom scene. Voguers in the United States such as Jamal Milan, Tim Princess and Brian Balenciaga have all found ways to express themselves through Old Way. Voguers such as Diva Miyake-Mugler, Yanou, Cupcake Vineyard and Marina (Ultra Omni) have studied and mastered the dance practice here in Europe.
In this workshop, we'll go over the history and elements of Old Way. We'll then put the elements together and vogue down!
