Where and when do we really feel at home?
Sometimes theatre is more like a poem. It allows you to feel and see a subject on even more levels. And in this particular poem by the German maker, singer and performer Philip Cahrpit, it is about something many people recognise. Something many people are looking for right now: the feeling of coming home somewhere. We start with childhood and travel together through human life on the way to security. He lets us feel, hear and see what it is like to want to belong somewhere in a world where that sometimes seems almost impossible.
Philipp Cahrpit (1991) is a maker, singer and performer. Born in Germany and based in
Groningen and Utrecht, The Netherlands. Philipp is looking for beauty and playfulness in the daily chaos of existence. From this chaos he builds poetic worlds in which he invites us as an audience to come to rest. With Club Wauw, in addition to his work for adult audiences, he makes sensory performances for the youngest child. His work has been performed at various Dutch festivals such as Explore The North, Noorderzon, Het Verbond and Fringe Amsterdam.
For Wanderlust he composes and produces his own music in which he mixes singing and poetry.
