For a week together in Korzo, we explore what theater will look like in the future.
What if energy can no longer be taken for granted? How and about what do you make a performance then? In this week Korzo invites makers to search for possibilities in its studios. At the same time we examine the consequences this would have on the theater as a building and its staff. The Korzo staff questions their own working methods and investigates where it could be more sustainable. The audience's experience is also changing, what is this like for them?
On February 5, in the coldest month of the year, we launch the Theater van de Toekomst. At the end of the week on Saturday, Feb. 11, the creators and staff will present their findings. What insights have we gained? What will we take with us into the future? And what will we let go of?
