Don't worry. Korzo is now creating room for the richness of Indian dance all year round. Because such a versatile dance lineage deserves to be seen. Together with choreographer, anthropologist and dancer Kalpana Raghuraman, we are looking for colourful performances that will make your love for Indian dance blossom. We proudly present: Pallavi Anand.
Love is the queen of emotions. Through love we come into contact with an enormous number of different feelings: admiration, beauty, devotion, anger, betrayal, desire and so on. Pallavi can dance all these feelings to life like no other, also thanks to her mother who taught her the tricks of the trade as head of the Upahaar School of Dance. She mixes her knowledge of design with dance, so that you can't take your eyes off her beautiful movements. Indian dance forms such as Bharatanatyam are given even more refinement by Pallavi. Expect a slightly enchanting elegance, impressive footwork and a love for Indian dance that will never let you go.
Dance and art; it is interwoven throughout her life. Pallavi learned Bharatanatyam and Mohiniattam from her mother, an experienced dance teacher in London, at a young age. In addition to her design studies, Pallavi always continued to dance and thus really developed her own style. She further immersed herself in Indian dance from top teachers in Chennai and learned to dance more rhythmically and musically by practicing Mridangam and Nattuvangam. Since 2020, she has been working intensively with dancer and mentor Mavin Khoo, who has deepened and refined her dance. Pallavi performs worldwide, both solo and in groups, and has appeared as a dancer in Akram Khan Company’s international production Outwitting the Devil.
