Step into this concert installation and examine your shadow
Enter the hidden space between light and dark with concert installation Schaduwspel (Dutch for ‘Shadowplay’), created by Studio De Moed. We turn away from the light and study the shadow we cast on the world around us. What does a shadow hide and what connects us? Studio De Moed investigates the shadow play between our body and the installation, the text and melody, the past and present. Who leads and who follows?
Schaduwspel is a concert installation scored by young composers Amarante Nat and Nuno Lobo, featuring music performed by clarinet player Jelmer de Moed, soprano Elisabeth Hetherington and sonologist Dario Giustarini. Boris Peters and Naida Amorim developed the visual installation that comes together with the music, directed by Peter Leung. Schaduwspel is a concept and production created by Studio de Moed in collaboration with Gaudeamus.
Studio de Moed is een werkplaats waar Jelmer de Moed makers uit verschillende disciplines samenbrengt en het concertpodium uitdaagt met innovatieve en kwetsbare producties. Nieuwe muziek op de juiste plek, op het juiste moment.
Jelmer de Moed (1995) is een gepassioneerde klarinettist en curator die zijn liefde voor kamermuziek combineert met interdisciplinaire projecten vanuit Studio de Moed. Hij geeft concerten als solist en speelt regelmatig kamermuziek met Rik Kuppen, Bram van Sambeek, Elisabeth Hetherington en het Animato Kwartet.
