The world is on fire, and a great deal is at stake. For UPRISING, theatre maker Marte Boneschansker speaks with a wide range of people who engage in resistance: climate activists, feminists, and anti-racism campaigners, as well as anarchists and angry farmers. What drives them to take action? From mass demonstrations to small, quiet acts of protest: resistance is an essential part of being human. You do have influence. It matters. Give a damn.

Company Marte Boneschansker creates experiential theatre rooted in documentary material. Armed with a microphone and led by Marte Boneschansker & Chris Belloni, the company develops intimate, physical audio works that exist somewhere between theatre and installation. Previous works include the BLOOS trilogy (2018–2023), ROUW (2022), and SCHADUW (2024).
