‘The Art of Doing Nothing: a feminist manifesto’, is not about doing nothing.
During Open Studio everyone is invited into the Studio where are artists are in the midst of creating a new work. Artists share where they are in that moment and may ask for some feedback about their work. This way you don’t only get an exclusive preview but you can also contribute to the creation of the performance.
This time artist, singer, composer Stephanie Pan and Ensemble Klang invite you to the Open Studio of ‘The Art of Doing Nothing: a feminist manifesto’ that is due to premiere early 2024.
‘The Art of Doing Nothing’ is a proposition for making choices. For listening to yourself and the world around you. For saving energy and making deliberate choices. For saving power to explode with power. For indulging play. For owning laziness. For reclaiming boredom. For understanding our entire existence as an antidote to boredom. A radical celebration of patience, vulnerability, fragility.
Together with Ensemble Klang, Stephanie Pan takes you on a sonic journey through righteous noise, distilled quiet, lush soundscapes, pounding, gritty beats and dramatic song, driven by the search for a manifesto that embraces change and not knowing, chaos and intuition, failure.
Please note: entrance for this performance is free. We do ask you to reserve a ticket, since there is limited seating.
