The Hague’s music scene is growing and thriving!
In Bloom is an exciting concert series presented by Korzo and curated by The Hague-based composer Lise Morrison.
Each In Bloom evening features a carefully curated selection of young musicians, performers, and creators from the vibrant music and arts scene of The Hague. In this edition, you can expect three experimental acts that push the boundaries of traditional music.
Be surprised by the adventurous soundscapes of Panic Screen (Nikos Charambolous and Guillermo Almo Martín Viana) with drums, guitar, electronics, and visuals, or immerse yourself in the hypnotic combination of cello and electronics by Leah Plave and Tiziano Teodori. Finally, Arefeh Hekmatpanah’s composition explores the interaction between music, sound, and visual elements.
Panic Screen is an adventurous and visually rich performance that combines drums, guitar, electronics, and video. Guillermo & Nikos are former jazz students and, as Panic Screen, take you on a journey through a wide range of sonic atmospheres. With audio-reactive visuals projected live, an exciting interaction between sound and image unfolds. The result is a dynamic performance that intertwines electronic soundscapes and improvisation
Cellist Leah Plave and sound artist Tiziano Teodori present a refined performance in which improvisation and electronic sounds merge. Their collaboration explores the depths of the cello through live sampling, minimalist pulses, and layered sounds. Tiziano creates a synthesized string quartet that complements and expands Leah's playing, resulting in a synergetic and intriguing duo performance. As an added dimension, their music is accompanied by the visual art of Sarah Atzori, who will paint live during the performance.
About Leah Plave and Tiziano Teodori
Cellist Leah Plave and electroacoustic composer Tiziano Teodori found each other through their shared passion for exploring electronic sounds and blending genres. After a successful tour as part of the collective Linen of Words, they decided to form a duo together
