A glamorous dream, restless, and full of energy.
“Everything must move constantly. On the move and never resting. We’ve had quite enough of that.”
– Ann Van den Broek
Together with the Nationale Theater, Korzo presents the new performance by AnnVan den Broek, Joy Enjoy Joy in Theater aan het Spui. With this performance, the choreographer takes a different route. The dark and heavy side gets a brighter lining to finally land in a melancholy mood of pleasant but by-gone memories. Joy Enjoy Joy follows the flow of life, earthy and dynamic. It is a constant, driving, and pulsing stream, always in flux, no stagnation. A stream that shines as reflected light. A glamorous dream, restless, and full of energy.
Joy Enjoy Joy again exceeds the boundaries between various art disciplines with the trademark WArd/waRD characteristic combination of movement, music, text and video.
Joy Enjoy Joy illustrates a transition: leaving behind accusations and reproaches, of regret and impossible desires. Lust changes into deeply felt love, resistance in acceptance. On the way to consolation and security for an ever-wandering soul.
Please note! This performance takes place in HNT | Theater a/h Spui, Spui 187, The Hague. Holders of a Korzo discount card can use their discount ticket(s) via the Korzo website.
