Dancers and dance students, take note. Spend two mornings working with Marina Mascarell, internationally acclaimed choreographer, artistic director of Danish Dance Theatre, and former Korzo artist-in-residence. In the context of the presentation of her book Het Denken Belichamen (Embodied Thinking), you will have the opportunity to experience her rebellious way of approaching dance up close in a workshop led by Mascarell herself.
The Dancing Body as a Form of Resistance
During this two-day workshop, you will explore Mascarell’s methodology together with her, developed by this socially engaged and feminist maker. Central to her approach is a stronger sense of equality in the co-creation process and the idea of the dancing body as a form of resistance. The workshop is intended for (amateur) dancers and dance students with a solid level of experience, across all styles of dance.
