One week before International Women’s Day and the Feminist March, Korzo invites all men who want to be part of the change. An International Women’s Day for men, in other words. A day where male feminism is mansplained to you creatively.
Please note! This programme is in Dutch
- have a sister, girlfriend, mother, or grandmother
- believe the world gets better when everyone is treated equally
- don’t think sexist remarks are okay and (sometimes) speak up about them — or want to start doing so
- think consent is sexy, or at least important
- want to help eliminate gender inequality, but… where do you start?
- A deeper understanding of women’s experiences in public space through the art installation (S)exposed by The Hague–based artist duo Studio Ongepast.
- Concrete examples through an inspiring and honest story by a real male feminist.
- An exclusive first look at research by choreographer Faizah Grootens with dancers Justin and Matheus on men teaching each other consent.
- A workshop where you create and design your perfect protest slogan — including a photo of you with your protest sign (to share).
Everyone has to start somewhere. Consider this a safe space to practice feminism. Maybe you already have experience advocating for gender equality, or maybe you’re just curious. All curious people are welcome — men in particular.
In the Netherlands, men earn on average 10.5% more than non-men. Do you identify as something other than a cis man? (For example: as a woman, non-binary, trans.) Chances are you earn less too — we’ll even that out at this event.
