What does freedom mean today?

How do you move in a world full of expectations, limits and possibilities? During Flows of Freedom, young performers and makers will take you through a varied programme focusing on freedom in all its layers. From personal stories to social questions, from energetic choreographies to quiet moments. This evening is made up of different parts that together form a powerful ensemble.

Main programme - Double Bill in the main hall

Two makers, two performances, one shared quest for freedom, identity and expression:

Nothing in your way, expect the horizon.
A physical flight to freedom. About breaking free from what keeps you grounded.
Inspired by the first female pilot to cross the Atlantic solo. Four young women explored their own route into the unknown. They defied obstacles, pushed boundaries and discovered what it means to really dare.A story about dreams, fear and courage.

Look Up - Trajectory SERIÓÓS:
Where the sky knows no ceiling. Where dance breaks the silence and together is the only direction. Where space is not given, but taken. Where rain and sun meet and something new begins.

Both choreographies last about 20-30 minutes, with a break in between. The participants perform with professional lighting, sound and décor.

Film - Embodied Freedoms

Furthermore, this evening will feature the short films from the Embodied Freedoms project - a series of dance films focusing on body, movement and freedom. These films provide additional context and depth to the evening's theme. Get Moving also has its own film in Embodied Freedoms.

About Get Moving Young Talent

Since the 1st of March, young performers from two new Get Moving trajectories have started working. Over 14 weeks, they worked towards these final performances under the guidance of professional makers. After an intensive kick-off and 20 rehearsals, this is the final result: Flows of Freedom - an evening where young talent expresses, develops and dares to move.
