From on to off, from jet black to fluorescent pink
The light is on.
Or the light is off.
At least, that's how we like to describe it.
But can’t be that simple
Because between on and off there is a large, endless world.
A world where we will take you
A journey from pitch black to fluorescent pink.
Along broken corners, spinning circles and swaying figures.
A light that’s everywhere, sometimes barely visible, sometimes fettered and blinding
How exactly do light and body influence each other?
After Kapot, the project where Karolien Verlinden explored the relationship between dance and language, FeL’s starting point is physical quality of light. Dancers Alex Akuete and Lucas Katangila have built a kaleidoscopic light installation in a scenography by Caroline Mathieu. FeL is a wordless performance for everyone from the age of 3, featuring sound design by Boris de Klerk.
