Expo "Korzo was Corso"

It's 365 days of celebration at Korzo as we celebrate our fortieth anniversary this year! Four decades ago, idealistic squatters squatted the dilapidated cinema Korzo and transformed it into theater Korzo. In the exhibition Korzo was Corso, we take you through our history.

The story begins in 1983, when a group of artists and students squatted a former cinema and transformed it into a theatre. In the expo you will see how this idealistic group - by trial and error - built a unique place in The Hague's art scene. Korzo was Corso tells the best squatters' stories, shows the professionalization process that took place and displays the grow of Korzo into a cutting-edge theatre and creative producer.
