Music that soothes but never fully embraces you.
Kluster5 takes you to the Arctic, where our senses are at their sharpest. Wandering through the darkness, explorer Walton (from Frankenstein, yes) writes his letters. Music that sounds like the tension of the unknown within an empty, icy landscape. If you listen between the lines, you can hear the loneliness calling, the despair echoing. But there is also freedom: the freedom you feel when the ordinary world, with all its rules and musts, is so far away. Small points of light become a beacon of hope here, whoever can see them will automatically feel a little warmer.
Composer Aart Strootman has shaken up the music industry before, and after this trip you’ll understand why. Eyes closed, feelings activated. Join us on an expedition into the darkness.
Not a biography, but a manifesto. Because Kluster5 always does things just a little differently than what you are used to.
01. We make ourselves part of the music creation process and develop the ways in which we present music. We love to share our ideas and expertise and create together with young and upcoming composers, choreographers and filmmakers.
02. We interpret the soundtrack to everyday subjects, from big to small, from light to complex. Childhood memories, social media pressure, a healthy workout: these are just some of the themes we all share.
03. A performance is the moment when our collective energy is transformed into many elements: sound, light, warmth, color, and movement.
04. You are invited to follow your instinct and enjoy a positive, fascinating experience.
05. We continuously develop our craft by staying curious and letting ourselves be surprised by new flavors. Kluster5 cannot be captured in one label or musical style - we simply love too many different styles. So let's keep exploring!
