Musical worlds colliding

‘Who are we?’ This simple question was the starting point for trio TEMKO ten years ago. In TEMKO, several musical worlds collide: contemporary composition, electronic sound design, improvisation, progrock, ambient and microtonality. The trio is a classic example of the composer-performer: the composed sketches of guitarist Aart Strootman invite percussionist Ramon Lormans and bass player and electronic specialist Fred Jacobsson to add their own ideas. In the piece Entropy, the listener can sit back, relax and float gently with the hypnotising sound of the trio, wherein there’s always something to discover.
