What do eggs and ladders have in common?

For years, Sketch351 has been haunted by this impossible question. Is it merely a shared double consonant, or is there something more beneath the surface? Can you eat ladders? Should you climb eggs?

In this performance, an apparently nonsensical obsession becomes the starting point for a musical exploration in which logic, structure and meaning gradually unravel. With relentless energy and a precision that teeters on the edge of chaos, Sketch351 builds an experience where everything is at stake.

Expect nothing less than meticulously organised disorder.
Or perhaps nothing at all, as even “nothing” takes on an entirely new meaning.

SKETCH351 is a contemporary music ensemble that, as artist-in-residence at Dag in de Branding, presents an original, performative work inspired by Fluxus. Their creations reflect the absurdity of everyday life and use the specific location—such as a bus or concert hall—as an active part of the musical piece. Each performance features new musical elements and arrangements. In line with the Fluxus tradition of the 1960s and ’70s, the artistic process is central, with a playful and accessible approach that blurs the boundaries between art and the everyday.
