Listening beyond borders with default den haag
default den haag is a nomadic sound series that aims to present, promote, and stimulate international contemporary experimental sound performances in the Hague, which due to their experimental, emerging, or persistent other-minded nature are often located outside the borders of dominant and commercial music culture/industry and therefore underrepresented in the concert format.
Since the end of 2022, default has been hosting regular listening events in the Hague, curating each time a handful of international experimental music and sound art performances in a coherent but varied manner, next to occasionally hosting accompanying talks and lectures. default’s previous installments have taken in the Grey Space in the Middle, 3345 and the Central Library.
On Thursday the 27th of February, default is working for the first time together with Korzo to present an evening of significant, contemporary music. More information on the artists set to perform will follow later.
