"Rarely have I seen a dance performance where the performers are so fully absorbed in the action. Uninhibited, completely devoted, and clearly aiming for fiery reactions."
— Het Financieel Dagblad
The dance performance Co(te)lette, once awarded the Zwaan prize, returns in a powerful remake. This time, Ann spotlights the stalled emancipation of women and the right to define one’s own sexuality and bodily autonomy— topics all too familiar to many women.
We witness an irresistible drive for physical and mental satisfaction, as three female dancers swing between allure, sensuality, cunning, carnality, fame, success, reflection, control, and stillness. It’s a vicious cycle of desire and satisfaction, without a story, a solution, or an ending. Your discomfort fuels their performance. Will they every break free from the corset of expectations?
