The realisation that one can be free of the pressure of constant searching.
Chasing the [Blank] explores the human urge to constantly be in search. Four individuals continiously strive for peace of mind, happiness and security. By submitting completely to the knowledge that this process will never end, they question the motive of their search.
Chasing the [Blank] exposes the contrast between being conscious and unconscious. The awareness that there is no ending. The realisation that one can be free of the pressure of constant searching.
Choreographer Zino Schat contributes to the evolution of hip-hop, a still young culture arising from the street out of repression. By opening doors between contemporary dance and breaking, innovative forms are born that transcend the mere juxtapositioning of two dance styles. An invitation to an aesthetic world with a powerful and vulnerable movement language that connects spectator and performer.
