Zino Schat is looking urgently for a male-identifying dancer

Opportunity Info: Zino Schat/Fractal Collective, artist-in-residence at Korzo, is looking for a male-identifying dancer for his new production. This latest creation from Zino will premiere in January 2026 during Holland Dance Festival, and will go on a Dutch tour in season 26/27.

Performance period: Jan ’26 + somewhere in season 26/27
Premiere: January ‘26 at Korzo, The Hague.
Audition: 9 April in Korzo

About Zino Schat
Zino Schat (1989) is a Dutch/Moluccan dancer, choreographer, and sound designer. He is the founder of Fractal Collective. Zino bridges the gaps between different dance languages, with his art showcasing recognizable human themes that resonate with individuals. With a background in hip-hop, he has developed tools inspired from within the hip-hop culture, displacing them from their native context and reimagining them with current, universal themes to create Contemporary works. Zino’s multidisciplinary approach has flourished over the years through the work of Fractal, an interdisciplinary collective he established. Since 2020, he has created works such as And the rest is noise with Japanese visual artist Daijiro Hama, Chasing the [Blank], and Soma (2023), developed under the DANSLOKAAL project, which toured extensively across the Netherlands with great success. Other works include Exit Sign (2024), which opened the gala of the Nederlandse Dansdagen, and his latest creation, Whispering a Prayer (2024), a co-production with Nederlands Dans Theater, which also toured widely throughout the Netherlands.

What are we looking for:

A male dancer

The dancer should be able to contribute artistically as an individual and quickly pick up material.

The dancer must be a versatile mover with a unique, personal dance signature.

Required:

Contemporary and hip-hop styles. Soft qualities, fierce, explosive, grounded, and precise.

Preferred:
Hip-hop styles: Popping, Hiphop, Krump, Electro, Contemporary.
