Korzo

Korzo is looking for S*xploration in music

Korzo is a space for innovation in movement, circus and music. We bring audiences and makers together through unexpected formats, driven by curiosity and a belief that talent thrives through openness and new connections.

We want to create space for diverse, positive perspectives on s*x. Whether straight, queer or asexual, we’re actively seeking a wide range of voices and experiences.

Are you:

  • A music maker, performer or collective working within the contemporary arts scene?
  • Working on an existing piece (30–60 minutes) that explores a specific aspect of s*x?
  • Do you feel your work aligns with Korzo and the theme S*xploration? Possible themes include consent, pleasure, taboos, intimacy later in life, kinks, and more.

Then we invite you to apply for this open call.

What to prepare

  • A short description (max 2500 characters)
  • If possible some videomaterial (max. 1.5 minutes). This can be a trailer, work-in-progress, or a short introduction by the maker
  • If available: a full video registration of the work

What we offer

  • 1–2 selected works will be included in the Korzo programme in November 2026
  • Performances in the Korzo Studio on November 12, 13, 14, 19, 20 or 21
  • A fair fee for up to 3 performers

Curatorial team

Pre-selection will be done by music programmer Jan Willem Troost (he/him).
The shortlist will be reviewed together with Marc Maris (he/him, dance programmer). Together they curate Sxploration*, taking place in November 2026.

Why this open call?

We aim to create space for positive perspectives on s*x and to welcome a diverse group of makers and performers. By opening up our curatorial process, we hope to reach voices and work that might otherwise remain outside our radar.
