Meet Ayşe!

Ayşe Nur Sallı is an experienced choreographer, dancer and teacher with a strong background in contemporary dance. She graduated from the Academy of Theatre and Dance in Amsterdam and has since been active as a performer, creator and teacher at ITA, PACT+ and NDT, among others.

Her work is based on movement and improvisation, bringing social and personal themes to life in dynamic dance forms. She enjoys working with dancers from different backgrounds and incorporates the unique dance languages of the performers into the creative process. Connection, depth and moving together are central to every project.

Would you like to create a unique performance in the Beelden aan Zee museum together with others? Under Ayşe's guidance, you will go through this trajectory:  

Kick off:

• Date: Saturday, 20 September 2025  

• Getting to know the group, Ayşe, and the artwork: The Little Dancer  

•  First exploration of themes and movement

Rehearsals: 

• When: Tuesday evenings and Saturdays 

•  Exploring, improvising, and recording material together on the floor   

•  Use of floorwork, partnering, and individual dance languages of the performers 

 Creative process:

• Development of movements inspired by the artwork and contemporary reflections on it

• Collaboration and deepening of physical expression

• Participants' materials are integrated, making your personal contribution visible in the final result

• Friday 28 November 2025

• Location: Museum Beelden aan Zee, Scheveningen

• An unique performance among the artworks, combining dance, moving images and personal expression

Who are we looking for?

Young people who are curious, dare to explore and want to use their creativity together with others. Whether you are an experienced dancer or just starting out, anyone who is enthusiastic about dance, movement and collaboration is welcome.
