Read along Sister Outsider by Audre Lorde
On 20 October the Dutch translation of SIster Outsider (originally published in 1984) by Audre Lorde (1934-1992) will be published. Lorde is one of the most important thinkers of the twentieth centery. In fifteen essays Lorde discusses sexism, racism, ageism, homophobia and classism. With examples and anecdotes from her own life she researches the complexity of identity.
We will discuss the book during the first edition of FluX on Saturday 31 October, together with Ebissé Rouw from Dipsaus/uitgeverij Pluijm (publishing company) and Jenny Mijnhijmer that translated the book to Dutch.
