Sarada Sarita had enjoyed a varied career as a dancer when she joined the Korzo production house in Januari 2021. From 2009, she played an essential role in the first chapter of the vogue and waacking scene in the Netherlands and with the crew Femme Lethal, she cleared the way for these dance styles in the Low Countries. 

She won the BNG Bank Dance Prize in 2019 with her groundbreaking theatre debut, Q4: Quantified, with which she first brought voguing from the clubs to the theatre. She subsequently created Q5: The Quintessentials with Korzo during the pandemic, with waacking in a leading role. She also made a life-changing research trip to South America where she got in touch with her indigenous roots. During this trip, Sarita was afforded the opportunity to learn directly from indigenous peoples who are threatened with extinction. This experience brought her in closer contact with her inner self, nature and the world around her. 

Sarita feels inspired to share the balance and insights that this and other healing journeys have given her with integrity. Marc Maris (dance programmer with Korzo) invited her to create a new work for CaDance: SapienS is the result of this invitation. 

Especially for visitors to the performance, Beach Pavilion De Staat has created a theater menu:

Starter:
- Westland tomato soup (plant based)

Main course, choice of:
- Salmon steak baked on the skin with hollandaise sauce
- Rump steak with Bearnaise sauce
- Oyster mushroom shoarma with flatbread (plant based)

- Crème Brûlée a l'Orange
- Chocolate mousse (plant based)

Starting point

Beach Pavilion De Staat, The Hague.

Be present at least half an hour in advance at beach pavilion De Staat. The performance will start on time. Tickets will be scanned at the starting point so make sure to have your tickets ready. You can recognize our crew members by their CaDance t-shirts. In case of bad weather conditions, it is important to keep an eye on your email to be informed of any changes.

Tickets

At the location, additional tickets can only be bought online if the show’s not sold out. Tickets will be scanned by one of our crew members. 

By public transport

• Tram 12 is the easiest way to travel to the venue. From Holland Spoor: direct line to the beach with tram 12. From The Hague Central Station: take tram 3, and change at the Goudenregenstraat to tram 12.
• Get off at the Markenseplein. Then you can take the entrance to the dunes on the right side of the tram house and follow the path to beach turn 10 (see screenshot with green arrow).

By bike

The easiest way is to take the Baden-powellweg towards Strandslag 10

Warm clothes:
The performance takes place outdoors. Be sure to bring warm clothes!

Facilities:

• At Strandpaviljoen de Staat you can use the toilets.
• There is also an opportunity to eat or drink something here.
