On Thursday, May 18, CaDance in The Hague will kick off festively with a varied evening in which the festival presents a variety of (dance) makers. The official opening will be performed in Korzo by Alderman of Finance, Culture and Economy Saskia Bruines and Gemma Jelier (general director Korzo), framed by short performances by Korzo dance maker Constantin Trommlitz and The Hague spoken word artist Hasan Gök.
After the official opening, you can put together their own evening. Choose one of the timeslots for the world premiere of Songs and Silences by Amos Ben-Tal and his collective OFFprojects in Korzo and combine it with participation in the new CaDance program ReRoute: A surprising tour along special locations in the city center where up-and-coming generations of (dance) makers and performers perform throughout the city center of The Hague. Throughout the evening, Korzo's Club will feature the new installation by circus performer Michael Zandl.
Starting on the opening night of CaDance, a new photo exhibition in the foyer will also feature work by Philippe Vogelenzang, who portrayed Korzo's choreographers.
The installation of Michael Zandl and photo exhibition of Philippe Vogelenzang are free entry.
